At the next roundabout turn right (second exit) towards Sawley on the B6002 - Longmoor Road. This road sweeps left and becomes Petersham Road. Stay on the B6002 for just over a mile (straight across three roundabouts) until you reach the B6540 at a roundabout just by Long Eaton Railway Station.

After about half a mile, there is a brown tourist sign post on the left to Trent Lock. Follow this sign along Lock Lane.

Follow the lane right to the end and park in either the car park. The left-hand car park is more secure.

Walk past the right-hand side of the Navigation Inn and straight on along the path through the pub garden ( not along the road in front of the pub) and on to the raised river bank. Turn right along the bank and for about 75 yards where there is a landing stage – you will see the Scout Activity centre on the opposite bank, with lots of boats and a Clubhouse. Wave to us across the river and the ferry will come and pick you up.
